The GESSS-Q 2019 GeoBakeOff is open to all students.
The 2019 GESSS-Q GeoBakeOff was inspired by the ANU RSES BakeYourPhD and the Geological Society of London’s GeoBakeOff.
Tips for success
Think about the overarching concepts and ideas in your research, can you make an analogy of them with food?
All food is accepted; cakes, biscuits, pies, breads, savoury or sweet, etc.
Baking can be sweet or savoury.
The cakes will be judged on three criteria; how the cake represents the research, the overall presentation and, most importantly, how it tastes.
Baking must be accompanied by a title and a brief outline (e.g., brief statement, abstract, diagram) of how the baking represents the research.
Baking must be accompanied by a list of ingredients highlighting any potential allergens.
GeoBakeOff is open to all Queensland Earth Science students, baking should represent an aspect of the participant’s research.
Participants must be registered to attend GESSS-Q 2019, click here to find out more about registration.
